Project Description

Early concept designs for this project included the addition of a first floor, but on review and comparison of the design options, the clients elected to proceed with a single level addition at the rear of their existing house. Most of the front of the original home was retained and restored, while the rear of the house was demolished to make way for the new construction. The additions were designed to be in keeping with the existing architectural style of the home, and it was important to the clients that they were kept to a scale that still allowed a garden and lawn area large enough for their small children to play safely. Their renovated home is now both functional and beautiful, with great connections between inside and out.
